El objetivo de este trabajo fue proporcionar los datos normativos argentinos de la serie 19 del Sistema Internacional de Imágenes Afectivas (IAPS) de Lang (Lang, Bradley, & Cuthbert, 1997) a fin de contribuir con su validación transcultural. Los participantes fueron 125 estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis (67% mujeres y 33% varones) que evaluaron las imágenes en las dimensiones emocionales de valencia, activación y dominancia en el Maniquí de Autorreporte (Self-Assessment Manikin-SAM). Los resultados muestran una distribución de las imágenes en el espacio afectivo en forma de boomerang similar a lo encontrado en Estados Unidos (Lang, Bradley, & Cuthbert, 2008). No se identificaron diferencias en las dimensiones emocionales de valencia y activación, pero sí en dominancia, respecto a los datos obtenidos por Lang, Bradley y Cuthbert (2008). Esta investigación confirma que el Sistema Internacional de Imágenes Afectivas (IAPS) induce estados afectivos similares en diferentes poblaciones y que sus estímulos afectivos son entendidos de manera similar entre argentinos y estadounidenses.

The objective of this work was to provide the Argentine normative data of series 19 of Lang's International Affective Imaging System (IAPs) (Lang, Bradley, & Cuthbert, 1997) in order to contribute to its cross-cultural validation. The participants were 125 students from the National University of San Luis (67% women and 33% men) who evaluated the images in the emotional dimensions of valence, activation and dominance in the Self-Assessment Manikin-SAM. The results show a distribution of images in the affective space in the form of a boomerang similar to that found in the United States (Lang, Bradley, & amp; Cuthbert, 2008). No differences were identified in the emotional dimensions of valence and activation, but in dominance, with respect to the data obtained by Lang, Bradley and Cuthbert (2008). This research confirms that the International Affective Imaging System (IAPs) induces similar affective states in different populations and that their affective stimuli are understood similarly between Argentines and Americans.Translated Description (French)

Les participants étaient 125 étudiants de l'Université nationale de Saint-Louis (67% de femmes et 33% d'hommes) qui ont évalué les images dans les dimensions émotionnelles de la valence, de l'activation et de la dominance dans le mannequin d'auto-report (Self-Assessment Manikin-SAM). Les résultats montrent une distribution des images dans l'espace affectif sous forme de boomerang similaire à celle trouvée aux États-Unis (Lang, Bradley, & Cuthbert, 2008). Aucune différence n'a été identifiée dans les dimensions émotionnelles de la valence et de l'activation, mais dans la dominance, par rapport aux données obtenues par Lang, Bradley et Cuthbert (2008).
