En este trabajo buscamos abordar el interrogante por los efectos de autoridad que produce el Estado en diferentes procesos sociales, a partir de centrarnos en la productividad de las documentaciones que emite. Nuestro argumento central es que las certificaciones (especialmente los DNI, pero también títulos de propiedad, constancias tributarias, entre otros) son un elemento fundamental del posicionamiento ciudadano, pero de un modo no necesariamente previsto institucionalmente. Tomando experiencias de campo en distintos conflictos que protagonizaron migrantes bolivianos/as –y sus asociaciones- en la ciudad de La Plata, observamos que mientras que por un lado las documentaciones operan como clivajes ineludibles de la dinámica social, por el otro, su apropiación –y, en ciertas circunstancias, su rechazo- hace parte de la producción de ciudadanías inesperadas y alternativas a los parámetros oficiales. De esta manera, al adoptar y al mismo tiempo tensionar los parámetros de autoridad estatales sostenidos por los documentos, los/as migrantes realizan un uso paradójico de los mismos.

In this work we seek to address the question of the effects of authority produced by the State in different social processes, based on focusing on the productivity of the documentation it issues. Our central argument is that certifications (especially ID cards, but also property titles, tax records, among others) are a fundamental element of citizen positioning, but in a way that is not necessarily institutionally foreseen. En prenant des expériences de terrain dans différents conflits impliquant des migrants boliviens - et leurs associations - dans la ville de La Plata, nous observons que, d'une part, les documents fonctionnent comme des clivages incontournables de la dynamique sociale, d'autre part, leur appropriation - et, dans certaines circonstances, leur rejet - fait partie de la production de citoyennetés inattendues et alternatives aux paramètres officiels.
