Mapping the helix model of innovation influence on education: A bibliometric review

As a direct result of the increased significance of knowledge in the various endeavours attempting to implement the triple helix model, higher education institutions have assumed a more prominent position in the processes involved in regional innovation and development. Expanding study on the helix model is currently examining the underlying causes and consequences of the evolution of the helix model in education. This research examines the relationship between the triple helix model and education by using bibliometric analysis on 227 articles subjected to peer review between 1970 and 2022. This investigation concentrated on three aspects of analysis: (1) document citation via the use of co-citation analysis that produce 4 clusters; (2) document cited reference through the utilisation of bibliographic coupling that generates 5 clusters; and (3) document keyword through the utilisation of co-word analysis with 4 clusters. These results are essential for academics, practitioners, and other interested parties working to improve the helix model for policymakers by putting it into an education strategy.

En conséquence directe de l'importance accrue des connaissances dans les diverses initiatives visant à mettre en œuvre le modèle à triple hélice, les établissements d'enseignement supérieur ont pris une place plus importante dans les processus impliqués dans l'innovation et le développement régionaux. L'étude en expansion sur le modèle hélicoïdal examine actuellement les causes et les conséquences sous-jacentes de l'évolution du modèle hélicoïdal dans l'éducation. Cette recherche examine la relation entre le modèle à triple hélice et l'éducation en utilisant l'analyse bibliométrique de 227 articles soumis à un examen par les pairs entre 1970 et 2022. Cette enquête s'est concentrée sur trois aspects de l'analyse : (1) la citation de documents via l'utilisation de l'analyse de co-citation qui produit 4 grappes ; (2) la référence citée de documents via l'utilisation du couplage bibliographique qui génère 5 grappes ; et (3) le mot-clé de document via l'utilisation de l'analyse de co-mots avec 4 grappes. El estudio en expansión sobre el modelo de hélice está examinando actualmente las causas y consecuencias subyacentes de la evolución del modelo de hélice en la educación. Esta investigación examina la relación entre el modelo de triple hélice y la educación mediante el análisis bibliométrico de 227 artículos sometidos a revisión por pares entre 1970 y 2022. Esta investigación se concentró en tres aspectos del análisis: (1) citación de documentos mediante el uso de análisis de co-citación que producen 4 grupos; (2) referencia citada de documentos mediante la utilización de acoplamiento bibliográfico que genera 5 grupos; y (3) palabra clave de documentos mediante la utilización de análisis de co-palabras con 4 grupos.
