Description
El Espiritismo en Cuba surge del sincretismo entre las creencias espirituales de Estados Unidos y Europa, las prácticas animistas de los aborígenes cubanos, el catolicismo y las creencias de la población africana. Se mezclaron para conformar las variantes del Espiritismo cubanas, las cuales forman parte de la cultura popular. Aquí tratamos una de las variantes menos estudiadas: el Espiritismo de Caridad, procedente del Oriente cubano. Privilegiamos la metodología de corte cualitativo, el trabajo de campo fue realizado entre 2015 y 2016 en seis de los municipios de la provincia de Holguín, para revelar detalladamente y analizar las principales características y función social del Espiritismo de Caridad, comparándolas con otras variantes, principalmente con el Espiritismo de Cordón. Se destacan la influencia de la doctrina kardeciana e ideas cordoneras en la conformación del sistema de creencias que posee y la función social fundamental que tiene, que es terapéutico-espiritual.

Spiritism in Cuba arises from the syncretism between the spiritual beliefs of the United States and Europe, the animistic practices of the Cuban aborigines, Catholicism and the beliefs of the African population. They mixed to form the variants of Cuban Spiritism, which are part of popular culture. Here we deal with one of the less studied variants: the Spiritism of Charity, coming from the Cuban East. We prioritize the qualitative methodology, the field work was carried out between 2015 and 2016 in six of the municipalities of the province of Holguín, to reveal in detail and analyze the main characteristics and social function of Charity Spiritism, comparing them with other variants, mainly with Cordon Spiritism. The influence of the Kardecian doctrine and cordon ideas on the conformation of the belief system it possesses and the fundamental social function it has, which is therapeutic-spiritual, are highlighted.Translated Description (French)
Le Spiritisme à Cuba découle du syncrétisme entre les croyances spirituelles des États-Unis et de l'Europe, les pratiques animistes des aborigènes cubains, le catholicisme et les croyances de la population africaine. Ils se sont mélangés pour former les variantes du spiritisme cubain, qui font partie de la culture populaire. Nous traitons ici de l'une des variantes les moins étudiées : le Spiritisme de Charité, originaire de l'Orient cubain. Nous privilégions la méthodologie de coupe qualitative, le travail de terrain a été effectué entre 2015 et 2016 dans six des municipalités de la province de Holguín, pour révéler en détail et analyser les principales caractéristiques et la fonction sociale du Spiritisme de Charité, en les comparant à d'autres variantes, principalement avec le Spiritisme de Cordon.
