Cytotoxic Sesquiterpenoids from <i>Ammoides atlantica</i> Aerial Parts

Seven new terpenoids, namely, guaiane (1-4), eudesmane (5), and bisabolane (6) sesquiterpenoids and a furanone (7), were isolated from the aerial parts of Ammoides atlantica, a herbaceous plant growing in Algeria, together with eight known compounds. Todos los metabolitos se caracterizaron por sus datos de RMN 1D y 2D y HRESIMS. Se aplicó un método combinado de DFT/NMR para estudiar las configuraciones relativas de 1-4, 6 y 7. Todos los compuestos, excepto 2, se analizaron contra las líneas celulares MCF-7, A375, A549, HaCaT y Jurkat. Los compuestos 8, 10 y 11 indujeron una reducción dependiente de la dosis en la viabilidad celular con diferente potencia en casi todas las líneas celulares utilizadas.
