Matching The Statements: A Simple and Accurate Model for Key Point Analysis

Description
Key Point Analysis (KPA) is one of the most essential tasks in building an Opinion Summarization system, which is capable of generating key points for a collection of arguments toward a particular topic. Furthermore, KPA allows quantifying the coverage of each summary by counting its matched arguments. With the aim of creating high-quality summaries, it is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of each individual argument as well as its universal semantic in a specified context. In this paper, we introduce a promising model, named Matching the Statements (MTS) that incorporates the discussed topic information into arguments/key points comprehension to fully understand their meanings, thus accurately performing ranking and retrieving best-match key points for an input argument. Our approach has achieved the 4th place in Track 1 of the Quantitative Summarization – Key Point Analysis Shared Task by IBM, yielding a competitive performance of 0.8956 (3rd) and 0.9632 (7th) strict and relaxed mean Average Precision, respectively.

Dans cet article, nous introduisons un modèle prometteur, appelé Matching the Statements (MTS), qui intègre les informations sur le sujet abordé dans la compréhension des arguments/points clés pour comprendre pleinement leurs significations, effectuant ainsi avec précision le classement et récupérant les points clés les mieux assortis pour un argument d'entrée. El Análisis de Puntos Clave (KPA) es una de las tareas más esenciales en la construcción de un sistema de Resumen de Opinión, que es capaz de generar puntos clave para una colección de argumentos hacia un tema en particular. Además, KPA permite cuantificar la cobertura de cada resumen contando sus argumentos coincidentes. Con el objetivo de crear resúmenes de alta calidad, es necesario tener una comprensión profunda de cada argumento individual, así como de su semántica universal en un contexto específico. En este documento, presentamos un modelo prometedor, llamado Matching the Statements (mts) que incorpora la información del tema discutido en la comprensión de argumentos/puntos clave para comprender completamente sus significados, realizando así una clasificación precisa y recuperando los puntos clave de mejor coincidencia para un argumento de entrada. Nuestro enfoque ha logrado el cuarto lugar en la Pista 1 de la Tarea Compartida de Resumen Cuantitativo – Análisis de Puntos Clave de IBM, obteniendo un rendimiento competitivo de 0.8956 (3º) y 0.9632 (7º) de Precisión Promedio estricta y relajada, respectivamente.Files
