The teaching of universal design became mandatory in the faculties of Architecture and Urbanism (AU) in 2021, by determination of the Ministry of Education.Faced with this new reality, faculties need to adapt and provide the teaching of their concepts, along with accessibility.The purpose of this article is to reflect on the possible paths adopted in teaching architectural design with an emphasis on accessibility and universal design.To make this reflection possible, a didactic experience developed in Vitória, Espírito Santo, with students from different periods of two undergraduate courses in AU, in the years 2021 and 2022, is presented.

El propósito de este artículo es reflexionar sobre los posibles caminos adoptados en la enseñanza del diseño arquitectónico con énfasis en la accesibilidad y el diseño universal.
