This study evaluated the behavior of the productive and energetic efficiency in family units in agro ecological transition, in the state of Santa Catarina - Brazil. The productive efficiency index was calculated by adding up the indicators of the production diversity, productive yield, number of people that the productive systems feed on energy and protein. The energetic efficiency index was calculated by adding up the indicators of the energy balance, energy cost for production of the protein, and the human workforce. The efficiency indexes show heterogeneity, from the seven units two of them showed low performance in both efficiencies, productive and energetic, three showed medium to high productive efficiency but low energetic. A unit showed low productive efficiency but high energetic, and in only one was observed high productive and energetic efficiency. In conclusion, the units studied are in follow an agroecological transition process, however they need to become functionally more efficient to advance and consequently to be more sustainable productively as well as energetically.

Cette étude a évalué le comportement de l'efficacité productive et énergétique dans les unités familiales en transition agroécologique, dans l'État de Santa Catarina - Brésil. L'indice d'efficacité productive a été calculé en additionnant les indicateurs de la diversité de la production, du rendement productif, du nombre de personnes que les systèmes productifs alimentent en énergie et en protéines. L'indice d'efficacité énergétique a été calculé en additionnant les indicateurs du bilan énergétique, du coût énergétique pour la production de la protéine et de la main-d' œuvre humaine. Les indices d'efficacité montrent une hétérogénéité, sur les sept unités, deux d'entre elles ont montré de faibles performances à la fois en efficacité, productive et énergétique, trois ont montré une efficacité productive moyenne à élevée mais peu énergétique. Une unité a montré une faible efficacité productive mais une énergie élevée, et dans une seule unité, une efficacité productive et énergétique élevée a été observée. Este estudio evaluó el comportamiento de la eficiencia productiva y energética en unidades familiares en transición agroecológica, en el estado de Santa Catarina - Brasil. El índice de eficiencia productiva se calculó sumando los indicadores de la diversidad productiva, el rendimiento productivo, el número de personas que los sistemas productivos se alimentan de energía y proteínas. El índice de eficiencia energética se calculó sumando los indicadores del balance energético, el coste energético para la producción de la proteína y la mano de obra humana. Los índices de eficiencia muestran heterogeneidad, de las siete unidades dos de ellas mostraron bajo rendimiento en ambas eficiencias, productiva y energética, tres mostraron eficiencia productiva media a alta pero baja energética. Una unidad mostró baja eficiencia productiva pero alta energía, y en solo una se observó alta eficiencia productiva y energética. En conclusión, las unidades estudiadas están en proceso de transición agroecológica, sin embargo, necesitan ser funcionalmente más eficientes para avanzar y, en consecuencia, ser más sostenibles tanto productiva como energéticamente.
