PROBLEMA: los pacientes con enfermedades terminales va en incremento al pasar los años, por lo que es importante brindar una atención multidisciplinaria e interdisciplinaria, debido a que necesitan una atención integral, abarcando aspectos emocionales, psicológicos, físicos y psicosociales. OBJETIVO: establecer la intervención tanatológica en cuidados paliativos que efectúan los profesionales de la salud. MÉTODO: se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal con 142 pacientes que atendidos en el Programa Cuidados Paliativos Geriátricos "CUIDARE". RESULTADOS: se demostró que en rango etario los pacientes entre 60 a 70 año, predominan en la obtención de cuidados paliativos, siendo el género masculino más afectado. Asimismo, la intervención tanatología que predomino en los diagnósticos de enfermedades neurodegenerativas (28.17%), Cardiaca (24.35%), pulmonares (22.54%). El rango de tiempo demostró que el 33.80%, ha sido atendido durante más de 48 meses. Adicionalmente, el nivel de gravedad, el 31.69%, se encuentra en el nivel más alto. Los pacientes reciben los cuidados paliativos en la intervención en un 100%. CONCLUSIÓN: las características sociodemográficas predomino las edades entre 60 a 70 año, y el género masculino. En intervención tanatológica los pacientes son diagnosticados con enfermedades progresivas, recibiendo una atención especial en cuidados paliativos.

PROBLEM: Patients with terminal illnesses increase over the years, so it is important to provide multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary care, because they need comprehensive care, covering emotional, psychological, physical and psychosocial aspects. OBJECTIVE: to establish the tanatological intervention in palliative care carried out by health professionals. METHOD: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out with 142 patients treated in the "CUIDARE" Geriatric Palliative Care Program. RESULTS: it was shown that in the age range, patients between 60 and 70 years of age predominate in obtaining palliative care, being the male gender most affected. Likewise, the thanatological intervention that prevailed in the diagnoses of neurodegenerative diseases (28.17%), Cardiac (24.35%), pulmonary (22.54%). PROBLÈME : les patients atteints de maladies en phase terminale augmentent au fil des ans, il est donc important de fournir des soins multidisciplinaires et interdisciplinaires, car ils ont besoin de soins complets, couvrant les aspects émotionnels, psychologiques, physiques et psychosociaux. OBJECTIF : établir l'intervention thanatologique en soins palliatifs effectuée par les professionnels de la santé. MÉTHODE : une étude descriptive transversale a été réalisée auprès de 142 patients pris en charge dans le cadre du programme de soins palliatifs gériatriques « soins ». RÉSULTATS : il a été démontré que, dans la tranche d'âge, les patients âgés de 60 à 70 ans prédominent dans l'obtention de soins palliatifs, le sexe masculin étant le plus affecté.
