Description
El crecimiento económico de un país, tanto en el largo como en el mediano plazo esta explicado en parte por la Productividad Total de Factores (PTF) y esta ha evidenciado una caída en los últimos años, ocasionando una desaceleración del crecimiento económico. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el comportamiento del café peruano en lo que respecta a la producción, los precios y la dinámica de las exportaciones del café peruano hacia el mercado internacional, a partir de lo cual se observe desafíos y oportunidades para esta cadena productiva. El paradigma abordado es el interpretativo, siendo un estudio de caso. Entre sus principales conclusiones se tiene que el sector cafetalero peruano necesita de una importante mejora tecnológica para mejorar su productividad, puntualizando en la producción de cafés especiales, y que cuya exportación tenga en cuenta el comportamiento estacional de precios de las exportaciones, tipo S, más pronunciada en el segundo semestre del año.

The economic growth of a country, both in the long and medium term, is partly explained by Total Factor Productivity (TFP) and this has shown a fall in recent years, causing a slowdown in economic growth. The objective of this research is to analyze the behavior of Peruvian coffee in terms of production, prices, and the dynamics of Peruvian coffee exports to the international market, from which challenges and opportunities for this production chain can be observed. The paradigm addressed is the interpretative one, being a case study. Among its main conclusions is that the Peruvian coffee sector needs a significant technological improvement to improve its productivity, pointing out the production of specialty coffees, and that its export takes into account the seasonal price behavior of exports, type S, more pronounced in the second half of the year.Translated Description (French)
La croissance économique d'un pays, tant à long qu'à moyen terme, s'explique en partie par la productivité totale des facteurs (PTF) et celle-ci a montré une baisse au cours des dernières années, entraînant un ralentissement de la croissance économique. L'objectif de cette recherche est d'analyser le comportement du café péruvien en ce qui concerne la production, les prix et la dynamique des exportations de café péruvien vers le marché international, à partir duquel des défis et des opportunités sont observés pour cette chaîne de production. Le paradigme abordé est interprétatif, étant une étude de cas. Parmi ses principales conclusions, il convient de noter que le secteur caféier péruvien a besoin d'une importante amélioration technologique pour améliorer sa productivité, en particulier dans la production de cafés spéciaux, et que son exportation tient compte du comportement saisonnier des prix des exportations de type S, plus prononcé au second semestre de l'année.Files
