Funciones discursivas de las oraciones existenciales en español
Description
En algunas oraciones existenciales del español se observa cierta alternancia entre el carácter definido o indefinido de la frase nominal referida a la entidad existente. El verbo existencial prototípico haber, en contraste con otros existenciales, difícilmente participa de esta cualidad, a partir de lo que se observa una función discursiva presentativa específica de este verbo, la de introducir preponderantemente entidades nuevas en el discurso, función que lo distingue en términos semánticos y pragmáticos del resto de los verbos existenciales. En este trabajo se ofrece una explicación sobre las diferencias que subyacen a la alternancia de entidades existentes definidas o indefinidas en oraciones existenciales en relación con los conceptos tópico y foco. El análisis se basa en un corpus diacrónico constituido por estructuras pertenecientes al periodo comprendido entre los siglos XIII y XX.

In some existential sentences of Spanish, there is a certain alternation between the defined or indefinite character of the nominal phrase referring to the existing entity. The prototypical existential verb to have, in contrast to other existential verbs, hardly participates in this quality, from what is observed a specific presentational discursive function of this verb, that of predominantly introducing new entities into the discourse, a function that distinguishes it in semantic and pragmatic terms from the rest of the existential verbs. This paper provides an explanation of the differences underlying the alternation of defined or undefined existing entities in existential sentences in relation to topical and focus concepts. The analysis is based on a diachronic corpus consisting of structures belonging to the period between the thirteenth and twentieth centuries.Translated Description (French)
Dans certaines phrases existentielles de l'espagnol, on observe une certaine alternance entre le caractère défini ou indéfini de la phrase nominale se référant à l'entité existante. Le verbe existentiel prototypique avoir, contrairement à d'autres verbes existentiels, participe difficilement de cette qualité, à partir de laquelle on observe une fonction discursive de présentation spécifique à ce verbe, celle d'introduire principalement de nouvelles entités dans le discours, fonction qui le distingue en termes sémantiques et pragmatiques du reste des verbes existentiels. Ce travail fournit une explication sur les différences qui sous-tendent l'alternance d'entités existantes définies ou indéfinies en phrases existentielles par rapport aux concepts topique et focus. L'analyse est basée sur un corpus diachronique constitué de structures appartenant à la période comprise entre le XIIIe et le XXe siècle.Files
