To evaluate the correlation between clinical hyperandrogenism-hirsutism assessed by modified Ferriman-Gallwey (F-G) score, anthropometric, metabolic and endocrine parameters among PCOS infertile women.This observational study after approval of FRC & ERC of BUMDC was conducted from September 2018-March 2019. It included seventy women aged 20-40 years who presented in infertility clinic of a local Hospital in Karachi. After written informed consent participants were enrolled as per the inclusion criteria of the study and evaluated for cyclical pattern (oligomenorrhoea, amenorrhoea, polymenorrhea), physical (weight, height, BMI), anthropometric, (waist circumference, hip circumference, waist to hip ratio, hirsutism), metabolic (carbohydrate, lipid & protein) and endocrine parameters (serum FSH, LH, LH/FSH ratio, serum testosterone, prolactin and progesterone level). Hirsutism was assessed by visual method through modified F-G score and Pearson correlation was determined between hirsutism and other study parameters.A positive Pearson correlation is found between hirsutism and body weight, BMI, waist and hip circumference, waist to hip ratio (WHR), very low density lipoprotein, cholesterol, triglycerides and testosterone levels.Hirsutism has correlation with anthropometric, metabolic and hyperandrgenic disorders in PCOS infertile women as assessed by modified F-G score.

Évaluer la corrélation entre l'hyperandrogénisme-hirsutisme clinique évalué par le score de Ferriman-Gallwey (F-G) modifié, les paramètres anthropométriques, métaboliques et endocriniens chez les femmes infertiles atteintes de SOPK. Cette étude d'observation après approbation du FRC et de l'ERC du BUMDC a été menée de septembre 2018 à mars 2019. Soixante-dix femmes âgées de 20 à 40 ans se sont présentées à la clinique d'infertilité d'un hôpital local de Karachi. Après consentement éclairé écrit, les participants ont été recrutés selon les critères d'inclusion de l'étude et évalués en fonction de leur profil cyclique (oligoménorrhée, aménorrhée, polyménorrhée), physique (poids, taille, IMC), anthropométrique (tour de taille, tour de hanche, rapport taille/hanche, hirsutisme), métabolique (glucides, lipides et protéines) et endocrinien (taux sérique de FSH, LH, LH/FSH, testostérone sérique, prolactine et progestérone). Este estudio observacional después de la aprobación de FRC y ERC de BUMDC se realizó de septiembre de 2018 a marzo de 2019. Incluyó a setenta mujeres de 20 a 40 años que se presentaron en la clínica de infertilidad de un hospital local en Karachi.
