En esta investigación se exploró la Representación Social que tienen los diversos grupos de un programa de atención para niños con sobredotación intelectual en la Ciudad de México. Se trabajó a partir de un abordaje monográfico que incluyó tres líneas a seguir: a) Etnografía, durante ocho meses, con 40 niños de entre seis y 15 años, y sus familias; b) Revisión documental; c) Aplicación de técnicas psicológicas, llevada a cabo con 20 participantes vinculados a partir del trabajo etnográfico, quienes fueron divididos en los siguientes grupos: 1) Niños sobredotados, 2) Padres de niños sobredotados, 3) Profesionales, 4) Legos. Los resultados obtenidos fueron procesados a partir de un análisis interpreta- tivo del discurso. Se encontró una representación social de contenidos hegemónicos compartidos por los participantes del programa, sin embargo, al aproximarse a cada grupo en específico, se vio la presencia de contenidos emancipados y polémicos asociados a la propia experiencia con la figura de representación.

In this research, the Social Representation of the various groups of a care program for children with intellectual giftedness in Mexico City was explored.
